Italy and Greece
Norway and Sweden
Itinerary:
Depart 26Feb14: Manchester T3 (1105) - Oslo Rygge (~25£) (2:10pm)
Depart 2Mac14: Oslo Rygge - Manchester T3 (~25£)
Airport Transfer: 20£ Return
Hostel: 25£*4=100£
So in Total: 170£
Day 1:
- Manchester to Oslo by Ryanair. The ticket is pretty cheap, I bet you wont get this price in 2017,
- TO meet the real snowman, the snowflakes and all those, I make a move by booking the ticket to Oslo to get myself in the cold.
- Once in the Oslo Rygge, as usual, the Ryanair airport is further away from the main airport, because they are hell effing low cost carrier anyway, so the airport transfer is about 10£ one way to the city center, which took about 2hrs.
- The bus brought us to the city center or so called Oslo centrum which acts like a Victoria station for london, KL central for Kuala Lumpur, or Roma Termini for Rome. From there we walked to find our way to the booked hostel.
- The hostel is not that far from the Oslo Sentrum, or can say about minutes from the bus station, but we made it 20 minutes, not bad for first timer :) in nit?
- As usual, Im wont stay still in the room after checkin, lets roll around the city woohoo. Some photos of the places we walked around for first day:
- this tourist information office is located near the centrum and we bought a cheap transport pass around the City. its 38£ for student price for 3 days to ride ALL public transport in Oslo and some museums.
One of the best experience in Oslo was Frognersteren. If you are malaysian, I think going to Frognersteren in winter could give u a new experience. I cant remember, but you rode a sledge from the top of the hill all the way to the bottom for about 30mins (take a tram all the way up again, include in the pass), and u only pay for the sledger roughly less then 10euros. amazing! and I played that all day,
Unfortunately, I dont have any photos of it as I have been pick pocketed, u could see a photo of me in sweden as there will be the only malaysian embassy available in Scandinavia country.
